What is LSD?

A limited-slip differential, or LSD, helps get your car's power on the road.

The cool thing about an LSD is that while is allows some freedom between the drive wheels, it also limits the power being sent to just one wheel, mitigating wheel spin and allowing for more traction.

Normal differentials allow a vehicle's engine output to escape through the inside wheel under hard cornering, meaning the inside wheel spins while outside wheel receives little torque.

A limited-slip diff restricts the difference in the wheels' rotational speeds, thus feeding the inside wheel less and the outside wheel more. This in turn improves traction on the way out of the bend, meaning you can drive the car faster.

LSD = 限滑差速器

顾名思义, 一种限制打滑的差速器。
